Hours are 8 am to 5 pm Pacific Standard Time Monday thru Friday. Permits are only processed by the regional office where the load will originate from or travel thru. Permits are valid from 3 to 5 days and cost $16.00
Pilot car - Escort car requirements. Length: 100’ on most state routes. Width: 2 lanes over 10’ 1 escort vehicle in front of truck. 4 lanes over 12’ 1 escort vehicle in rear of truck. Height: Depends on the route which will be determined by the state.
Travel Restrictions. Travel is permitted ˝ hour before sunrise to ˝ hour after sunset M - F. Some urban areas have their own travel restrictions. Night and weekend travel can be requested and if granted be aware that the widest parts of the load are required to have lights for night travel. Night travel must be noted on the permit.
