Oversize Load Route Surveying Services in North Carolina

At Wide Load Shipping, our route surveying and planning process for oversized New Jersey loads is well-detailed and comprehensive. We conduct thorough route surveys to identify and evaluate the most suitable paths for your cargo. It involves assessing road width, bridge weight limits, height clearances, and potential obstacles like traffic signals, signage, and overhead power lines. We also consider travel restrictions, as oversized loads are often restricted at nighttime, on weekends, or on specific holidays without special permits. By accounting for these limitations, we ensure that the route meets legal requirements and minimizes delays, as North Carolina’s oversized permits are valid for only ten days. Our expert logistics specialists are dedicated to providing a seamless transport experience, ensuring your oversized loads reach their destination safely and efficiently across North Carolina. When moving heavy hauls in North Carolina, consider the following routes:

  • Interstate 40 (I-40): a popular east-west corridor cutting connecting cities like Asheville and Wilmington.
  • Interstate 85 (I-85) Running from the South Carolina border to the Virginia border.
  • Interstate 77 (I-77): a north-south highway connects Charlotte to Virginia.
  • U.S. Route 321: This route runs through the western part of the state.
  • U.S. Route 70 is an essential east-west route connecting coastal regions with central North Carolina.
