The 2021 oversize and heavy-haul trucking season.

This content has been modified since its original publish date. We distinctly recall writing it and see from the number of inquiries it has been very helpful to others. With the current health concerns involving COVID-19, our network is looking at a large increase in freight volumes. Our team will continue to update this information in the future. Please leave comments for other viewers.

The 2021 heavy-haul & oversize trucking season is here!

It looks like the 2021 heavy-haul and oversize trucking season is beginning to start. While freight volumes are still on the low side due to the winter months we can tell by the consistency of loads being posted that the season will move in high volume very shortly. This won’t come soon enough for many companies as the 2020 heavy-haul & oversize trucking season was very short-lived with freight volumes low. Economic indicators for 2021 look fair as the wind power industry continues forward with its continual expansion. That’s not to say it’s time to go trailer shopping just yet but it does look like we should have a bumper year. While the heavy-haul trucking industry certainly needs a boost, the oversize trucking industry needs it terribly bad with so many other companies dependent upon oversize freight in order to operate. This includes the entire pilot car industry as well as specialized equipment manufacturers that cater to and service items for the industry. Over the past few decades, we’ve learned that the pilot car industry can be very flexible as well as resilient and can recover from freight shortages pretty quickly considering. Whereas the heavy-haul industry suffers much longer from a short-term financial blow as company operating costs are high. Especially if you own a specialized trailer. The more axles, the more money you owe the bank.

What do we think about 2021 and freight volumes?

2021 will be a great year for this area of the specialized trucking industry. While we’re not predicting record-breaking highs in freight volumes but it is our general opinion that 2021 will bring some much-needed relief as existing construction projects are already on the table. Companies that wish to have this work will need to push with existing advertising as well as create new avenues for advertising.

Oversize loads.

The outlook for oversize load shipping volumes looks very promising for 2021.

Here are a few noteworthy items about 2021 freight volumes:

  • Existing wind energy jobs in WY, KS, OK, and East TX will continue. However, quite a few projects are now being built in other parts of the world as well as the sea. This hurts us as far wind energy equipment shipping goes.
  • This the year following a new election year and consumer spending is up. These newly elected people proclaim it all but anything however once in office it’s usually a new story we all have to just roll with. It’s very hard for specialized trucking companies that facilitate growth projects to forecast what their capabilities will be for new construction projects. However, this year will be a big one.
  • The US has too many heavy equipment surplus items they’re in the process of selling off. That equipment will come up in the auctions this year so shipping from the auctions to the ports will be excellent in 2021. The overall freight volume getting a push in this area as well.

It’s going to be busy year folks. The companies that will earn the most money in 2021 are the ones that are advertising smart and savvy.

Trucking Season Starts

Let’s get the trucking season started.

As you are aware the weather is finally starting to clear up in the Northern states. Frost laws will again be completely lifted and we will move towards being in full swing again for another season. With consumer confidence comes more spending which in turn brings on more production which means you will all be busy and possibly even exceed your capabilities. Each year at this time we send out this reminder followed by reports on industry volumes, customer behavior and other news that is important to any company in the oversize and heavy haul trucking industry. Some of them you may like and others may bore you but for the benefit of your business we do suggest you read them all as more information is better than not enough. We will do our best to keep our communications brief and to the point.

Heavy haul loads.

Here are some key reminders for this time of the year:

• Fully inspect your truck/escort/pilot vehicle, tires, lights, gauges, etc to ensure everything is working in tip top shape.
• Be sure to inspect all of your radios and safety equipment making certain all signal flares and fire extinguishers are up to date.
• Drivers should prepare themselves mentally too. Remember first to protect the motorists, not the load. The load is insured. Things like erratic driving or hand signaling will only confuse a motorist and possibly provoke road rage creating potential for an accident. If a motorists does ever get in between a pilot car and the load whoever see’s it first needs to make everyone else aware, especially the driver of the truck. More than likely he will decide to slow the truck down and that problem will quickly resolve itself pretty quick.
• Driver nutrition. We be writing more about driver nutrition as the season continues but remember you’re whole outfit isn’t much without you. That means you have to take good care of yourself and truck stops and roadside diners aren’t notorious for being too concerned about much more than taste – some even lacking that!

Pilot car truck in lead position.

Finally, while being on the newsletter list is free we must charge a small fee to be in our different directories (heavy haul, oversize trucking companies and pilot car companies) that is as low as $4.16 a month. If you are in it, get your listing spruced up. Add more information about your company and the exact services you provide, upload new/additional photos. Each year we send a huge percentage of our million plus per month visitors to our heavy haul and oversize shippers directory as well as PiloTrac. Customers who wish to use this option can easily locate you as well as trucking company fleet managers, dispatchers, owner operators, etc can easily locate pilot cars via PiloTrac. No matter what service our viewers are looking for it’s much easier to locate a service provider by clicking on a map than it is trying to mine web data by doing search engine searches and sifting through the millions of results.  We’ve been doing this online since 2003 so have a pretty decent idea of what we’re doing.

Trucking industry backlinks

Want backlinks on trucking related websites in 2019?

Flatbed-trailer

We’re your trucking backlink source.

Backlinks are everything and count for a lot these days and if you’re in the trucking industry you know they are hard, hard, hard to get. The majority of the people who own trucking companies are hard at work at some other task. Even if they did author their own website it takes a lot of effort for the average person to get the job done right. Then things like linking text. You might be on the phone all day for just a few links.

Time to get connected. If you’d like you can join us for more transportation industry backlinks. What you should know about the type of work we do is:

  • We only deal with websites that have 100% total quality content.
  • We only deal with websites that are backed by companies that are well established within our industry.
  • We’re looking to work with companies that are actually in the industry. If you are an insurance broker or industry services provider please click here for more information.
  • We are not very interested in having a link on your “links” page however we do prefer having a text link that is included in well written good quality content.

Did you think that getting a back link in the trucking industry was impossible?

Think again. One thing I will say is that for some reason our Google page rank bounces between 2 and 4. Not much we can do about that but continue to do what we’ve done for the last 14 years. Ad content. We think this may be due to so many words being repeated on pages like our “oversize trucking regulations” as we will have to use many of the same words over and over and in the Flesch-Kincaid website reading test text like this doesn’t rank very well. However, in 2017 we managed to crank out an average of 1,323,000 actual human page views a month. So, odds are that not only will the search engines show you some love but so will our traffic.

In the event we find that your website is full of great content and you thought the same of us. We are willing to even go further based on what you have to bring to the table. Something like a permanent anchor text link towards the very top of your website would prompt us to email the rest of the folks that trade back links with us and let them know about you as well.

If anything consider being added to our list.

At the moment we have a pretty good sized list of folks that mention us in their articles from time to time. This list of back link friends in the trucking industry is like gold and we know it. So, to be included in it and possibly be shared with everyone else you have to let us know you exist. If you we’re looking for some automated way to get this done well guess what? There isn’t one. There are many companies that say they can do it. But, by the time they are done with you getting back links from other trucking companies or within the transportation industry will be the last of your worries as you will then have to either:

  1. Figure out how to “undo” all of the damage they did by manually requesting the links be removed.
  2. Start a whole new website.

The search engines are a billion dollar industry and they are NOT going to tolerate crappy back links, web circles, link wheels, link exchange scripts or any of that anymore. Compare those days to the cowboy days where you rode into town with a gun strapped to your hip. They’re over. The only way to do it is the right way. Contact us we’ve got a whole empire of trucking related companies that are looking for good back links.

So if your are operating within the heavy haul trucking industry daily and your website reflects this kind of content then you exactly who we’re looking for. Simply contact us and let us know about your traffic and what you have in mind.

Advanced advertisers group

Welcome to the advanced advertising group.

Advanced advertising for the transportation industry.

Advanced advertising for the transportation industry.

Or the beginning of it anyway.

The advanced advertisers group is for anyone on a budget that needs to get web exposure. Members of this group are expected to participate in assignments within a reasonable time-frame. Some assignments may take less than 10 minutes of your time. Other assignments may take 20 minutes of actual work time. If we are a group we can make things happen online. Fast. The vast majority of projects we will be working on will be free. The tools we will be working with will be free as well. Most of the assignments and projects we will work on will take very little effort on your part so again it is imperative that you spend a small portion of your time (20 minutes a week  of actual task time) to complete them. This is one of those projects where we are all dependent on each other. If we have laggers we will sag. Sag suggests failure and this group will be immune to failure.

Sag.

If you don’t have 10 to 20 minutes a week to dedicate that’s cool. Just don’t join the group. If in any way we can ever help you please send us an email with a brief description of your problem and the best time to contact you.

Eligibility.

Your company should be specifically involved in the transportation of goods.

What are the benefits?

Each member of this group that completes all of the simple projects we send out will benefit by getting more business. It’s simple. If you rank better in the search engines your phone is going to ring more. What you will learn from this group is simple things that you can do that will make your web presence more powerful.

We have a simple check in system to help you.

Yep after the completion of each assignment we ask that you report back to us indicating that you are have completed. Then once the time expiration on the project ends we will begin the next project.

Synopsis.

Every little bit of information we give you is derived from years of working with the internet. Much of it is kind of like a secret in the sense that is isn’t known by everyone. If everyone knew all of them the’d be doing it and the next thing you know it wouldn’t as well anymore. Are you going to learn some cool techniques? You bet. However, after you learn them you will realize they are all based on common sense. Like looking at a glass of water and seeing it from different perspectives. Is it: full, empty, evaporating, a magnifier, a vase, a lifeline, a shower, a bomb,  a murder weapon, cookie cutter, prism, fish bowl and so on. The internet operates the same way.

When do we get this wheel rolling?

In order to have a reasonable success rate we need a group.  We will need at least 40 people. As soon as we do, we will send out a introductory email including the first assignment. We look forward to working with you soon.
